If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that I was in New York for fashion week last month. This was my third season being there with BCBGMAXAZRIA & Herve Leger and it seems to just get better and better each time! In this case, for me, more works from season to season also means more friends and more fun!! “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life,” stands true here.

Golden Globes with Lubov Azria
It was such an honor to attend the 2013 InStyle Golden Globes party with none other than Lubov Azria, her daughter Cleo and one of Lubov’s besties! I started the Globes weekend at W Magazine’s pre-party! Got to capture Giada de Laurentiis shooting for the Today Show on the red carpet of the InStyle after party—she was wearing Herve Leger! Bounced from the InStyle party to the Weinstein party and ran into some fabulous friends along the way: haayyy Sal, Ross and Joyce!

This gorgeous Spanish-style hacienda is nestled up against the Ortiz Mountains, just a short drive from the city of Santa Fe. The few days Samuel, #HarveyWinston and I spent here were so magical—obviously, we made ourselves right at home!
We even cooked a Christmas Eve dinner for two in the industrial-size kitchen! This was one of the best holidays yet and the hacienda was the perfect backdrop! I got to be one of the few lucky men sitting among The Hollywood Reporter‘s Power 100 Women in Entertainment. I wish everyday could start like this! Best part, I got to attend with my boss Lubov and meet the lovely ladies pictured! Highlights of the breakfast were Mindy Kaling’s hilarious welcome, activist Sandra Fluke’s keynote and Diane Keaton’s knee-slapping address after accepting the 2012 Leadership Award. It was a powerhouse! More about the event here.
Soft Briefs Are Better Than None
Every man [both guys and gays] should invest in a nice soft leather briefcase, especially the 20-something young professional. A hard leather satchel is great too. Why not one of each? Each, of course, has its advantages. Hard leather is obviously going to protect a laptop, iPad and things like that much better. Soft leather briefcases are a lot more malleable and therefore a lot more stuffable! Just figure out what works best for you, but if you can do both, options are always great!
I’ve had this soft leather briefcase by Gucci for some time now and I love it! I’ve come to realize that one of the best things about it is how solid the hardware on this sucker is, so definitely pay attention to that. The color is perfectly dark, which keeps the embossed logo more on the subtle side. Dare I say it’s probably my favorite?
